If you think you've already explored the limits of el wire, check out what a couple of companies are doing with fiber optic clothing. Some other nifty developments in fabrics include material that can detect pressure and stroking as well as change color. This electric plaid stuff is on display at the Cooper Hewitt. I highly recommend Burners check it out, as I expect these materials to be de rigeur playa wear once Quad gets her hands on some.
